Elle: Women in hollywood red carpet event
larry abel / de-signs, vb. produced the Women in Hollywood awards for ELLE and all their sponsor partners at the Four Seasons Hotel in Beverly Hills, CA.
We were challenged with transforming the hotel into a space that represented the sleekness and feminity of ELLE and the classic style of their sponsor partner, Calvin Klein.
We began with reinventing the entry by rebuilding the courtyard fountain into an updated contemporary ELLE waterfall of white acrylic with cascading water.
Inside the ballroom, we literally built a ‘room within a room’ using spandex, grasscloth and linen. Even the floorcoverings were replaced along with a custom designed lighting plan and sound system to transform the ambiance of the room.
Additional sponsor partners, Calvin Klein, Euphoria, Moet Chandon and Roberto Coin were also showcased in a unique fashion.
The end result was a unique and classic evening of style honoring noteable Women in Hollywood including Nicole Kidman, Halle Berry, Anne Hathaway, Jane Fonda and Sigourney Weaver.
